Wages
New Hires: Entry level rate $17.21/hr.; Current employees in the bargaining unit: Please refer to the salary schedule established by the applicable bargaining group
Duties & Responsibilities: (Essential Functions of Position, Major Responsibilities, Summary of Key Duties, Special Assignments, Relationships)
- Comfortable reading open score choral literature
- Accompany vocal groups during rehearsals and performances
- Play, read and learn new music fluently
- Job may include travel to performances out of the building
- Assist with Choral Library maintenance
- Assist in helping to maintain a positive school climate
- Must be able to communicate and relate to students in a friendly manner
- Work with administration, classroom teachers and other building personnel
- Must be organized
- Must become familiar with building emergency and security procedures
- Job will require flexible work hours beyond the regular school day (after school, evenings, weekends). Advance notice will be given for these dates. A full schedule of events will be provided.
- Successful candidate must possess strong inter-personal skills with a proven record of building rapport with culturally diverse students to ensure each child reaches his/her full potential.
- Good attendance and punctuality are a must to ensure that the duties and responsibilities of the job are performed successfully.
- Must be willing to support and implement Davenport's multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) for both behavior and academics.

Physical Requirements of Position: (HBV Yes No)
- Ability to lift fifty pounds and walk extended distances. Ability to bend, squat and kneel in order to work with young children.
- Must be physically able to walk the building (stairs included) and general campus on a routine daily basis.

- Ability to play the piano for extended periods of time
- Ability to work with high school students
