Responsibilities

• Continuously source, screen, interview, and follow up with caregivers to meet staffing demands.
• Build and maintain an active caregiver pipeline across service areas; prioritize urgent coverage.
• Coordinate with HR on hiring and onboarding progress; document applicant communications, interview outcomes, follow-up, and hiring status.
• Communicate recruiting activity, staffing gaps, and candidate availability to leadership and the coordination team.
• Perform weekly service coordination: caregiver scheduling, assignment follow-up, and coverage coordination.
• Communicate with members, caregivers, families, and service partners to support dependable services.
• Maintain accurate scheduling, service records, and member documentation.

Description

Charis Hearts is seeking a dependable, organized Recruiter / Service Coordinator for our established TennCare CHOICES Medicaid team. This role combines ongoing, high-volume caregiver recruitment with weekly service coordination responsibilities.

Caregiver recruitment is a primary focus, driven by new member referrals, existing service commitments, and changing coverage needs. The right person works proactively with local leadership, HR, and fellow team members while maintaining accurate records and dependable follow-through. TennCare CHOICES experience is strongly preferred, but not required.

Caregiver Recruitment & Staffing

• Continuously source, screen, interview, and follow up with caregivers to meet new-member and existing-member staffing demands.
• Build and maintain an active caregiver pipeline across service areas; prioritize urgent coverage and anticipated referral needs.
• Coordinate with HR on hiring and onboarding progress; document applicant communications, interview outcomes, follow-up, and hiring status.
• Communicate recruiting activity, staffing gaps, and candidate availability to Kendra and the coordination team.

Weekly Service Coordination & Operations

• Perform service coordination responsibilities each week, including caregiver scheduling, assignment follow-up, and coverage coordination.
• Communicate with members, caregivers, families, and relevant service partners to support dependable authorized services.
• Respond to callouts, scheduling changes, and service interruptions; coordinate timely solutions with leadership.
• Maintain accurate scheduling, service records, member-related documentation, and timely operational updates.

Teamwork, Documentation & Accountability

• Collaborate closely with local leadership, Service Coordinators, and HR to anticipate staffing needs and keep recruiting and service operations aligned.
• Maintain detailed, accurate, and timely recruiting and coordination records in required systems.
• Manage multiple urgent priorities with sound judgment, reliable attendance, initiative, and consistent follow-through.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Strong general computer skills, including email, electronic documentation, data entry, file management, and web-based applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct experience with Tennessee TennCare CHOICES Medicaid strongly preferred.
• Experience with both caregiver recruiting and home care service coordination.
• Knowledge of Medicaid home- and community-based services, managed care organizations, and service authorizations.
• Experience with AxisCare or comparable home care scheduling and agency management platforms.
• Experience with Indeed, applicant tracking systems, or other recruitment management platforms.
