Job summary

Community Health Centers of the Central Coast is seeking a Chiropractic Assistant to support the chiropractic provider under the Health Center Manager. You will greet patients, manage provider schedules to ensure access and efficiency, assist in the exam room (including translation) and help with registrations and billing procedures.

The role emphasizes professional communication, HIPAA compliance, and a patient-centered approach in a busy clinic setting, with bilingual Spanish/English preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in customer service, preferably in a medical setting.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answers telephone promptly in a courteous and professional manner.
• Reviews and manages patient schedules with the chiropractic provider.
• Assists in the exam room, including translation.
• Assists with pre-visit planning including patient screenings.
• Schedules patients and refers triage calls to nursing staff.
• Checks patients in-and-out and verifies information.
• Performs cashiering duties and collects co-pays and payments.
• Maintains accuracy of forms and updates demographic data.
• Follows billing protocols for chiropractic visits.
