• Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle (sampling includes outlying buildings).
• REAL ID-compliant identification or another federally accepted credential.
• Able to meet facility access requirements for a healthcare setting.
• Available during facility business hours (sampling requires a hospital escort).
• Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline.
• Ability to follow written sampling protocols precisely.
• Physically able to reach sampling points, access crawlspaces/mechanical areas, and lift/carry sample kits (up to ~25 lbs).
• Dependable phone and email communication.

Responsibilities

• Collect approximately 25 water samples per month from designated points across the hospital and outlying buildings (faucets and sinks; hot and cold lines)
• Coordinate the sampling schedule and facility access with the hospital's designated representative before each event
• Complete Chain of Custody (COC) documentation fully and legibly for every sampling event, with no missing fields
• Package and ship samples to the laboratory, using proper handling and temperature protection
• Photograph the completed COC and submit it to the Project Coordinator after each event
• Follow all facility safety, infection-control, and access protocols
• Communicate promptly with the Project Coordinator regarding scheduling, sampling supplies, and any access issues
