Job summary

NSA seeks Linguists (MDLAs) to support SIGINT missions by translating, transcribing, and analyzing foreign language materials. The role may follow LADP or direct-hire paths with opportunities across multiple offices and operational tours.

Applicants should have a minimum ILR 2/2 reading/listening proficiency, a degree in any field, and at least one year of relevant experience in language-related work or related domains such as intelligence analysis or cybersecurity.

Qualifications

• A degree in any field is acceptable.
• At least one year of relevant experience in language (translation, transcription, analysis) or related fields.
• Minimum ILR level 2/2 reading and listening for target language.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, transcribe, translate foreign language materials.
• Provide analytic assessments and reports.
• Engage with partners and customers across the Intelligence Community.
• Prepare language development or direct hire pathways into analytic roles.
• Contribute to the SIGINT mission through robust analysis and documentation.
• Mentor and collaborate with other Language Analysts.
