Job summary

Concordia Language Villages seeks a Summer Dean to serve as the program director for a Chinese Language Village in Bemidji, MN. You will lead curriculum development, staff supervision, budgeting, and operations to run a high‑quality immersive language program.

The role involves year‑round planning with CLV staff, collaboration with the Village Leadership Council, and on‑site leadership during the six‑week summer session. Co‑dean arrangements may be considered with adjusted compensation.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Chinese and English at intermediate-high level.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum age 25; U.S. work authorization; ability to reside in the United States.
• Willingness to commit to all orientation and session dates.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of a language and cultural program.
• Oversee staff planning, hiring, and training for the summer program.
• Manage budgeting, operations, and communications to ensure program quality.
• Coordinate opening/closing procedures and collaboration with CLV central administration.
• Support village leadership and provide strong on-site leadership during the summer season.
