Job summary

RBR-Technologies in Fort Meade, Maryland, seeks a Chinese Operational Language Analyst to transcribe, translate, and analyze foreign language material, provide reporting on translated content, and support operations CONUS/OCONUS as part of a linguist team. This role requires U.S.

citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance. DLPT Level 3 in listening/reading, and extensive transcription/translation experience are essential; a BA/BS with related work may substitute, and TS/SCI w/

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI w/ polygraph required to be considered Junior Language Analyst.
• Minimum two (2) years of full-time transcription/translation language experience.
• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• DLPT/ILR level requirements: Level 2 minimum.
• Four (4) years of full-time transcription/translation experience.
• Two (2) of the four (4) years of this experience within the last four years.
• AA/AS degree or 2 years related experience required.
• Level 3 listening or reading ILR/DLPT required.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; 4 extra years may substitute.
• Ten (10) years of full-time transcription/translation experience.
• One year of quality control review experience.
• Level 3 listening and reading required within last two years.

Responsibilities

• Recover EOIs from foreign language materials and curate databases.
• Transcribe and translate complex audio/graphic language material into English.
• Gist and categorize foreign language content for reporting.
• Perform quality control on translations/transcripts.
• Lead or support linguist teams for CONUS/OCONUS operations.
