Job summary

The Chimney Guys in Virginia seeks an Entry Level Field Service Technician to join our residential chimney team. This role offers hands-on training and a clear path to lead responsibilities, with pay during training and performance-based growth after promotion.

You will perform chimney repair and installation, learn masonry, carpentry, metalwork, and other trades, climb to rooftops, and document work on a company tablet.

Qualifications

• Comfortable with heights and able to lift 80+ pounds.
• Willing and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Experience with tools and hands-on repair work preferred; chimney-specific experience is a plus.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record.
• Reliable transportation for transit to work.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform chimney repair and installation projects on residential properties.
• Supervise and support field crew members to ensure project quality and timeliness.
• Safely operate ladders and tools at heights, often on rooftops and in tight spaces.
• Lift and carry equipment or materials up to 80 pounds.
• Input job information, photos, and reports via company tablet and mobile apps.
• Read and follow technical manuals and building codes as part of ongoing training.
• Maintain a clean, safe worksite and comply with safety regulations.
• Communicate professionally with clients and team members to ensure great customer service.
