The Chimney Guys are seeking an Entry Level Field Service Technician in Virginia to join our residential service team. You will perform chimney repair and installation projects on homes, and supervise field crew members to ensure quality and timeliness.

This role requires comfort with heights, physical fitness to lift 80 pounds, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather. Training leads to performance-based pay and a path toward a nationally recognized certification.

Qualifications

• Comfortable with heights and able to lift 80+ pounds.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Experience with tools and hands-on repair; chimney-specific experience is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license with insurable driving record.
• Own reliable transportation for transit to work.
• Strong work ethic and team-minded attitude.
• Experience leading a crew or taking responsibility on job sites preferred.
• Able to use a tablet/smartphone for job documentation.
• Willing to study technical content and pursue ongoing education.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform chimney repair and installation projects on residential properties.
• Supervise and support field crew to ensure quality and timeliness.
• Safely operate ladders and tools at heights, often on rooftops.
• Lift and carry equipment or materials up to 80 pounds.
• Input job information, photos, and reports via company tablet and apps.
• Read and follow technical manuals and building codes during training.
• Maintain a clean, safe worksite and comply with safety regulations.
• Communicate professionally with clients and team members for great service.
