Job summary

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries America, Inc. (MHIA) is seeking a Senior Project Manager - Chillers in Plano, TX for end-to-end management of centrifugal chiller and modular cooling plant projects in North America.

You will coordinate with customers, consultants, EPC/MEP contractors, and internal teams to ensure safe, on-time, and on-budget delivery. The ideal candidate has 9+ years of experience, including 4+ years in centrifugal chillers, and a strong background in permits, safety, and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
• At least nine years of experience, with four years in centrifugal chillers and modular cooling plants.
• Experience managing customer-facing projects from order intake through handover.
• Ability to read GA drawings, P&IDs, electrical drawings, and control narratives.
• Knowledge of permit, inspection and safety processes (OSHA, JHA/JSA, LOTO, permit-to-work).
• Familiarity with NFPA 70 / NEC and local permitting processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end execution of centrifugal chiller and modular cooling plant projects in North America, from order intake through final handover.
• Serve as primary project interface with customers, consultants, general contractors, EPC and MEP contractors, and internal teams.
• Lead regular project meetings, report status, escalate issues, and drive timely decisions.
• Define and manage project scope, deliverables, interfaces, and responsibilities across stakeholders.
• Maintain project governance: schedule, risk register, issue log, change log, and communication plan.
