Job summary

Aggreko plc in Santa Fe Springs, CA is seeking a Chiller Technician Temp Control to perform maintenance and repairs on chillers and related HVAC systems. You will be based at the Santa Fe Springs service center and may travel to job sites as needed.

Applicants should have 4+ years of hands-on experience with chillers for commercial customers, strong troubleshooting skills, and a valid driver's license. The role offers full-time hours with overtime potential and a comprehensive training program.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 4+ years of experience working on chillers for commercial customers.
• Ability to troubleshoot, maintain, test and repair chiller and large-tonnage a/c equipment.
• May need TWIC card or valid DOT medical card based on customer requirements.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 60–80 lbs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Based out of Santa Fe Springs, CA service center.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of HVAC equipment and oil-free air compressors.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop.
• Operate equipment in the shop alone or with other technicians as required.

Bring your energy to Aggreko as a Chiller Technician Temp Control - based in Santa Fe Springs, CA.

What you’ll do:

• You’ll be based out of our Santa Fe Springs, CA service center.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and/or oil free air compressors.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop.
• You will either be out on your own or teamed up with other technician(s) to set up and operate equipment in the shop.

You are:

• High School diploma/GED
• 4 or more years of experience working on chillers for our commercial customers performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, test and repair chiller and large-tonnage air conditioning equipment.
• Based on the customer requirements, you may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs.

• Availability to work the assigned schedule, travel to work locations (if needed) and be on standby for work outside of regularly scheduled shifts
• Must be able to stand, walk and sit for prolonged periods of time; and be able to walk over uneven terrain with functional balance that does not require any special assistive devices
• Must be able to move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion that will permit work to be safely performed from ground / floor level to full overhead level
• Must have good finger dexterity to manipulate small items, functional hand-eye coordination, and functionally grip with adequate strength to safely hold tools and stair railing or ladders
• Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs), push/pull (80 lbs), carry (60 lbs), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs), stoop, kneel and squat
