Job summary

Vantage Data Centers LLC is seeking a Critical Support Specialist (Chiller SME) to join our on-site team in Ashburn, VA. The role focuses on advanced maintenance and repair of critical cooling and electrical infrastructure within a hyperscale data center, ensuring high uptime and reliability.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of hands-on experience in mission-critical environments, strong documentation skills, and formal certifications in relevant systems.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in mission-critical environments.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and manuals.
• Strong technical writing for SOPs, MOPs, and EOPs.
• Formal specialized training in UPS, generators, or chiller systems.
• Current relevant licensure or certification.
• Willingness to travel <5%.
• Background check successfully completed.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed preventive and corrective maintenance within your specialization.
• Lead complex maintenance projects with minimal supervision.
• Respond to safety incidents and maintain a secure work environment.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors/partners.
• Develop and document procedures and training materials.
• Support continuous improvement of data center reliability.
