Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) seeks an HVAC technician to support 8-10 retail stores across a geographical area. You will troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on large scale commercial and industrial chiller systems, RTUs, and SWUDs.

A company vehicle, gas card, tools, iPad, and iPhone are provided. The role requires 3-5 years of experience with chillers, WSHPs, RTUs, IntelliPaks, BAS familiarity, and EPA certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Trade school training preferred.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on commercial and industrial chiller systems, including centrifugal, screw, scroll, and reciprocating chillers.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with refrigeration circuits, compressors, evaporators, condensers, and other system components.
• Service and maintain pumps used in HVAC systems, including chilled water and condenser water pumps.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot rooftop units (RTUs) and advanced systems like Trane IntelliPaks.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on self-contained water‑cooled units (SWUDs).
• Conduct system performance tests and ensure optimal operation of HVAC systems and associated equipment.
• Work with building automation systems (BAS) to monitor and adjust chiller and HVAC performance.
• Interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics for troubleshooting and repairs.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation of repairs and maintenance.
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members to provide updates and recommendations.
• Extensive knowledge of Trane, York and Carrier chillers; rebuilding them is a plus.
