Job summary

EMCOR Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced HVAC technician to maintain and repair central plant equipment, including large chillers and cooling towers. The role requires on-call availability and hands-on testing, start-ups, and commissioning of systems.

Ideal candidates have 5 years of journeyman experience, EPA certification, and a strong knowledge of commercial/industrial air conditioning and central plants. Valid driver’s license and excellent communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 5 years of journeyman-level experience with technical schooling.
• Commercial/Industrial air conditioning experience required.
• Knowledge of chillers, HVAC and central plants.
• EPA certified and valid driver’s license.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair central plant equipment, including chillers 100 tons and larger, motors, pumps, valves, controls, cooling towers, vane axial fans, and related equipment.
• Overhaul centrifugal chillers is a plus.
• Support office with recommended repairs from delivery to completion.
• Be available for emergency service calls on a rotating basis.
• Perform end-to-end testing, programming, start-ups, and commissioning.
• Schedule and manage site-wide maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs for chillers, cooling towers, and central plant equipment.
• Conduct daily and monthly preventative maintenance on all equipment.
• Ensure maintenance completes within the scheduled month and time frame.
• Maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and coworkers.
