Job summary

Ambient Enterprises is seeking a field HVAC commercial technician with chiller water system experience to service a 100 mile radius in Northern California. The role focuses on maintaining and repairing central plant equipment, including large chillers (100 tons and larger), pumps, valves, and cooling towers.

The ideal candidate has 5 years journeyman experience, holds a California license and EPA Universal Technician certification, and is comfortable with on‑call emergency service rotations and

Qualifications

• 5 years journeyman level experience and technical schooling.
• Commercial/Industrial air conditioning experience required.
• Knowledge of Chiller, HVAC, and Central Plants; large tonnage field knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair central plant equipment including large chillers, pumps, valves, and cooling towers.
• Overhaul centrifugal chillers a plus.
• Support office with repairs from delivery to completion.
• Availability for emergency on-call rotation.
• End-to-end testing, programming, start-ups and commissioning.
• Schedule and manage site-wide maintenance, troubleshooting and repair duties.
