Job summary

Yeo Valley Organic is seeking reliable Skilled Logistics Operatives to join the Distribution team in Somerset. The role involves operating Reach Trucks and other MHE, receiving and stocking duties, and ensuring accurate order picking in a fast-paced warehouse.

Ideal candidates will hold a Reach Truck licence, demonstrate safety and accuracy, and contribute to a collaborative, efficient operation in a chilled environment. Shift pattern and benefits are described in the listing.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating forklifts and other MHE within a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment.
• A strong focus on safety, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A flexible, reliable approach and willingness to support different areas of the operation when needed.
• A valid (or recently expired) Reach Truck licence.

Responsibilities

• Safely operating Reach Trucks, Counterbalance Forklifts, and other MHE in line with company procedures.
• Receiving, booking in, storing, and replenishing stock.
• Picking and packing customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Carrying out stock checks and maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Investigating and resolving stock discrepancies where required.
• Completing general warehouse duties to support the wider operation.
• Carrying out pre-use equipment checks and reporting any faults or maintenance issues.
• Maintaining excellent standards of health, safety, hygiene, and housekeeping within a chilled warehouse environment.
• Helping to minimise waste and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
