Job summary

Center City Housing Corp. in Minnesota is seeking a Children’s Program Coordinator to work on-site with families in permanent supportive housing.

You will provide after-school and on-site programming for children from birth through teenage, while supporting parents and guardians and coordinating with case managers. The role includes supervising staff, building relationships with schools and community partners, and implementing grant-funded activities with program evaluation.

Qualifications

• Degree in early childhood education or equivalent, with a minimum of one year experience working with low-income and homeless children and families.
• Experience supervising others is required.
• This position requires a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
• This person must pass and maintain Minnesota Background Study clearance.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Case Managers to provide comprehensive services to parents/guardians and their children living in permanent supportive housing.
• Provide on-site programming for children from birth through teenage.
• Facilitate parent/guardian groups addressing the needs of children.
• Refer to community services.
• Supervise the children’s program staff.
• Develop positive relationships with community agencies including the Public School District and other support systems.
• Implement grant-funded activities and complete programming evaluation.
