Job summary

Cella by Randstad Digital is seeking a Technical Designer in Framingham, MA to lead fit, quality and garment construction for childrenswear. You will prepare technical reports, communicate specs to vendors, and validate samples to ensure correct sizing and construction.

You will collaborate with the Product Development Team, review production samples, and approve bulk specifications. Strong pattern making and grading skills, plus proficiency with PLM and Adobe tools, are required.

Qualifications

Degree in Fashion Design or equivalent work experience.
3+ years experience in spec'ing, fitting and grading Misses, Men's or Children's garments.
Strong technical background and experience in grading/pattern making.
PC skills including Microsoft Office, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and PLM.
Broad-based knowledge of garment specifications, including clothing construction and grading.
Knowledge of garment testing standards and protocols.
Highly skilled in evaluation of garment fit.

Responsibilities

Develops and communicates fit and specification requirements to vendors via a technical report with construction details, measurements and graded specs.
Reviews fit/production samples for compliance with construction standards and sizing.
Approve or reject specifications for bulk production and make construction changes as needed.
Manage fit sessions and collaborate with Product Development to resolve issues.
Ensure all shipments meet the company's sizing and construction standards.
