Job summary

Soccer Shots is seeking a passionate part-time Youth Soccer Coach to serve children ages 2-8 in the Oakland area. You’ll lead sessions, ensure safety, and bring enthusiasm to every class.

Local candidates only; no visa sponsorship. Training provided, with opportunities to advance to lead roles as you grow within the program.

Qualifications

• Genuine passion for children and sports.
• Safety conscious and able to model safe play.
• Own reliable transportation to sites.
• Ability to stand, jog, and demonstrate soccer skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead soccer sessions for children aged 2–8 using Soccer Shots curriculum.
• Set up and break down equipment and field area.
• Foster a positive, inclusive environment and encourage character development.
• Communicate with families and caregivers about sessions and progress.
• Support training and development through the Soccer Shots program.

Soccer Shots is seeking a passionate part‑time Youth Soccer Coach to serve children ages 2-8.

You’ll laugh. You’ll break a sweat. You’ll go home at the end of the day knowing that you made a difference. It may be tough, but coaching our kids will be one of the most rewarding things you ever do.

Local candidates only please (no work status or visa sponsorship available).

PART‑TIME SCHEDULE or FULL‑TIME SCHEDULE.

Hours between M‑F, 8:30am‑5:30pm (and Sat/Sun 9am‑12pm).

Must be available to work one day out of the weekend.

Schedule

• Flexibility – We only schedule sessions closest to you, with opportunities to change availability from season to season (winter/spring/summer/fall)
• Mondays through Fridays: mornings, afternoons, and evenings are optional
• Saturdays: mornings are required
• A full ten‑week commitment is required to take on a lead role.

The Job

• Conduct soccer sessions for children 2 to 8 years old, including field set‑up and take‑down
• Encourage character development through positive reinforcement and modeling
• Utilize expert‑created Soccer Shots’ curriculum and early childhood development teaching techniques in every session
• Foster a safe and inclusive environment for all participants
• Communicate effectively with families, caregivers, and teachers
