Job summary

Southern Baptists of Texas Convention is seeking a Children's Ministry Director to provide vision, leadership, and spiritual development for children from birth through sixth grade. You will create a safe, engaging environment where kids and families feel welcomed and connected.

You will recruit and develop volunteers, select Bible-based curricula, coordinate programs like Sunday School, Children's Church, VBS, and Summer Camp, and work with church leadership to advance the church's mission.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, and support volunteers in Children's Ministry.
• Select and implement Bible-based curriculum aligned with church values.
• Develop, coordinate, and evaluate programs for birth through sixth grade.
• Provide leadership for ministries: Sunday School, Children's Church, Wednesday groups, VBS, Summer Camp, family events.
• Maintain clear, timely communication with families and volunteers.
• Build relationships with children and families through Christ-like follow-up.
• Collaborate with church leadership to support the mission.
• Perform additional Children's Ministry tasks as requested by the Senior Pastor.

The Children's Ministry Director plays a vital role in the growth, leadership, and spiritual development of a vibrant, Christ-centered Children's Ministry. This position provides visions and oversight for ministry to children from birth thru sixth grade, creating a safe, engaging, and faith-filled enviroment where children and families feel welcomed, supported, and connected.

Key-Responsibilities:

• Recruit, train, and support volunteers who serve in the Children's Ministry.


• Select and implement Bible-based curriculum that aligns with church values.


• Develop, coordinate, and evaluate programs for children from birth thru sixth grade.

• Maintain clear, consistent, and timely communication with families and voluteers.


• Build relationships with children and families through thoughtful, Christ-like follow-up, especially with new families.


• Collaborate with church leadership to support the overall mission of the church.


• Complete additional Children's Ministry related tasks as requested by the Senior Pastor.
