Job summary

Tutu School Lincoln Park is looking for a Children's Dance Teacher to inspire young dancers in a creative environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dance, particularly ballet, and possess great communication skills to engage with children and their families.

This part-time role includes leading classes, maintaining the studio, and performing retail duties. The position offers a supportive culture with additional benefits like paid parental leave and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• Experience in dancing, with a ballet background preferred.

• Available on Mondays from 4:30pm - 6:30pm.

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Lead 45-minute classes following Tutu School's carefully crafted Class Curriculum.
• Take attendance and answer basic questions about class membership and promotions.
• Build rapport and communication with students' families and prospective clients.
• Perform basic retail duties including product restocking and processing sales using a point-of-sale system.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of the studio, lobby, retail display, and bathroom.
• Communicate effectively with management and administration.

Qualifications

• Experience in dancing with a ballet background is strongly preferred
• High school or equivalent is preferred
• Teaching experience is preferred
• Must be available on Mondays from 4:30pm - 6:30pm

Compensation: $30.00 per hour

Tutu School is a collection of boutique ballet schools that provides a creative dance education experience for children from 6 months to 8 years old. It encourages students to exercise their imaginations and bodies, teaching age-appropriate motor skills, fundamentals of ballet, and exposing them to classical music and ballet stories.
