Job summary

Hunter Mountain Ski Bowl, Inc. is hiring Ski School Support Staff for our winter season.

You will support all aspects of ski/snowboard school operations outside of instruction, with high guest interaction, especially with children, rental operations, check-in/out, lesson scanning, and lesson area lift operations. Starting wage ranges from $20.00/hr to $31.00/hr for Winter Seasonal 2026/2027, with part-time shifts and housing availability.

Qualifications

  • Fluent in all aspects of English language (speaking and writing).
  • Experience in a fast-paced, service-based environment preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and guest-facing skills are required.
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to handle high-volume guest flow with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Daily setup and tear down of indoor facilities and work areas, keeping spaces clean and welcoming.
  • Assist young children during check-in and throughout the day.
  • Follow health code and facility cleanliness procedures for common areas and equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly facility to accommodate high guest volume.
  • Work with children to facilitate games and activities indoors and outdoors.
  • Adhere to helmet safety rules and wear appropriate uniform.
  • Model safety standards and contribute to health and safety culture.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Manager.

Job Summary

Ski School Support Staff employees work in a fun high paced indoor/outdoor environment supporting all functions of ski/snowboard school operations outside of instruction. The role has high guest interaction supporting children's programming, rental operations, guest check-in/out, lesson scanning, and lesson area lift operations.


Job Specifications


  • Starting Wage: $20.00/hr - $31.00/hr

Job Responsibilities


  • Daily set up and tear down of indoor facilities, including work areas, with an emphasis on attention to detail to present an area that is clean, orderly, welcoming, and conducive to operating efficiently.

  • Helping young children within the check in process and through out the day.

  • Understanding of, and compliance with, stated policies/procedures relevant to health code compliance for facility cleanliness, including common areas, toys, equipment, etc.

  • Ability to keep and maintain a clean and orderly facility that accommodates daily high-volume guest flow.

  • Working with small children to facilitate appropriate games and activities in both indoor and outdoor settings.

  • Adhere to strict corporate policy regarding wearing a snow sports specific helmet while skiing/riding, or assisting lessons, in uniform.

  • Understand, lead, and model safety standards within the department for yourself and others; contribute to our culture of Health and Safety to meet Zero Workman's Comp safety goal.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Manager.


Job Requirements


  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred

  • Experience in a fast-paced, service-based environment

  • Fluent in all aspects of English language

  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays

  • Strong communication skills with a wide variety of guests and employees

  • Strong computer skills, typing, and data entry preferred

  • Early childhood care experience preferred

  • Ski or snowboarding experience to assist lessons as necessary preferred

  • Successfully pass the background check required


The expected pay range is $20.00/hr - $31.00/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
