Pharmacy Technician positions are available in the pediatric acute care setting. Looking to create a diverse team to help perform patient care activities. Locations include CW Main Pharmacy and CW Operating Room Pharmacy. Specific areas and shift times are available depending on current area needs.
Ability to perform a wide range of physical activity: lifting, pulling, bending, manual dexterity movements. Ability to follow oral and written instructions, prioritize with accuracy and dependability. Fluency in reading, writing and speaking English.
At least one year of technician experience or completion of a Pharmacy Technician training program is highly desirable. Basic algebra including performing pharmacy calculations is also highly desired.
The State of Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) requires all Pharmacy Technicians to be licensed. Newly hired pharmacy technicians must obtain a valid Michigan Pharmacy Technician License on or before their hire date. This can include a Full Michigan Pharmacy Technician License or a Temporary Michigan Pharmacy Technician License.
Full and Part-Time positions are available on days, afternoons, or midnights. Technicians are expected to work every second weekend (Saturday and Sunday), and provide holiday coverage. Technicians' main work area will be in Children and Women’s Hospital Main or Operating Room Pharmacy.
