Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Office of Children, Youth and Families is seeking a ChildLine Caseworker in Harrisburg to receive suspected child abuse reports, route to investigators, and guide decisions per CPSL policies.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, residency in PA, and involves 37.5 hours weekly with 24/7 shift coverage. Telework up to 2 days/week may be available, with overtime and training obligations as described in the posting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Applicants may be within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.

Responsibilities

• Inform callers of rights and confidentiality during referrals.
• Interview callers to determine nature and key facts of referrals.
• Search statewide system for past reports connected to caller or referral.
• Apply CPSL rules and policies to guide decisions on each report.
• Analyze and refer reports to appropriate investigative agencies for action.
• Review investigation results for accuracy before final approval in the database.
