Davis Behavioral Health is hiring Childcare Providers to assist children aged 1-14 during evening community classes. Candidates should have experience with children, flexible schedules, and be willing to travel within Davis County. Essential duties include maintaining a safe environment, assisting with meals, and providing empathetic support.
Davis Behavioral Health, Inc. is seeking Childcare Providers to care for children ages 1-14 during evening community education classes. Ideal Childcare Providers will have previous experience working with children, be willing to work flexible hours, and commit to traveling to different areas of Davis County. This position is grant funded through the Davis County Communities That Care (CTC) coalitions.
Childcare Providers are hired on a yearly basis. Employment from year to year will be contingent on employee performance and childcare needs.
A meal is provided for instructors, childcare providers, and families each week before class starts.
There may be some childcare providers that are hired but will serve as substitutes or reserves depending on the number of children and the number of classes held.
Essential Job Functions
Location
Classes are held within the community, typically at schools or city halls in North Davis County (Syracuse, Clearfield, West Clinton, Sunset, West Point), Layton, and in South Davis County (Bountiful, West Bountiful, Centerville, North Salt Lake, Woods Cross).
Schedule
Programs run once per week for 7-9 weeks from 5 : 30 - 8 : 15 pm or 5 : 30 pm - 8 : 45 pm, depending on the program being offered. These programs run between September and December and start again in January through April. Childcare workers must be available two nights a week. DBH is currently hiring childcare providers for the following evening classes in :

The starting hourly rate for all Childcare Workers is $16.00 per hour.

The selected candidate must successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screening. DBH will not hire individuals currently using illegal drugs or abusing alcohol; therefore, making employment at DBH conditional upon successfully passing pre-employment drug screening by providing a valid sample. Candidates who are offered employment are required to report for a drug screen at an Intermountain WorkMed location within 24 hours of being requested to do so by the DBH Human Resources Department.
Davis Behavioral Health works with Federal grants and must comply with the Federal drug laws, including no use of medical marijuana.
Physical Demands
The part-time positions at DBH are not eligible to participate in the agency's benefits program.
