Job summary

Inspire Early Education in Missouri seeks a part-time Childcare Van Driver/Teacher Assistant to safely transport children to and from the center. The role supports a nurturing environment and requires clear communication with families and staff.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, a Missouri Class E license with a school bus endorsement, and a clean driving record. This split-shift position runs 7:00–9:00am and 2:30–6:00pm, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (Required).
• Valid Missouri Class E License with a school bus (S) endorsement (Required).
• Clean driving record with no history of accidents or traffic violations (Required).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to pass background and health requirements.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate the childcare center's bus or vehicle to transport children to and from the center, ensuring the well‑being of each child during transit.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
• Adhere to all local, state, and federal transportation regulations, including securing children in appropriate child safety seats and seat belts.
• Be prepared to respond to emergencies during transit, including administering first aid if necessary, and evacuate children safely if needed.
• Maintain open communication with parents/guardians regarding pickup/drop-off times and delays.
• Maintain accurate records of daily transportation, including attendance, mileage, and fuel usage.

We are seeking a dynamic and responsible individual to join our Childcare Center team as a part-time Childcare Van Driver. This role requires you to ensure the safe transportation of children to and from the childcare center. The ideal candidate will prioritize safety, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and be committed to creating a nurturing environment for children.

This is a split shift, part-time role. The hours are from 7:00a-9:00am & 2:30pm - 6:00pm, Monday - Friday.
