St. John Vianney Early Childhood Center is seeking new educators to join our team. We are seeking educators who have experience working with children in a childcare setting or educational setting. An ideal candidate is someone who will establish a nurturing environment for children, maintain safe learning and play environments, and design developmentally appropriate and engaging activities.

Job Responsibilities

• Care for and track child daily activities (diapering, meals, naps, etc.)
• Lesson/activity planning
• Perform annual child development assessments
• Support students with special or individualized needs
• Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment
• Maintain a safe learning and play environment
• Establish and maintain a nurturing and welcoming rapport with children and families
• Additional responsibilities vary by role

Candidate Requirements

• Completed or actively pursuing bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or similar field (preferred)
• Completed or actively pursuing Child Development Associate (CDA) (preferred)
• Experience working with children in a childcare setting or educational setting
• Pediatric First Aid & CPR certification
• Additional requirements vary by role

Essential Job Functions

• Ability to lift and carry children up to 40-50 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, bend kneel, and sit on the floor for extended periods throughout the day
• Actively supervise children indoors and outdoors and respond quickly in emergencies
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining required childcare supervision ratios
