Job summary

La Petite Academy in Albuquerque, part of Learning Care, is hiring a Team Lead to advance classroom learning and family engagement within a supportive center community.

You will promote child development through structured instruction, mentor new staff, and step into director duties as needed. This role emphasizes hands-on teaching, collaboration with families, and adherence to licensing standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in a licensed childcare facility leading a classroom and implementing lesson plans.
• College credits toward Early Childhood Education or Child Development, or a CDA.
• Must meet state or accreditation requirements for education and experience.
• Able to work indoors or outdoors with children.

Responsibilities

• Promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the children.
• Lead classroom management and curriculum implementation.
• Build relationships with families to support center success.
• Provide training and mentoring for new hires and teachers.
• Cover Director/Assistant Director duties in absence, including opening/closing.
