Job summary

Mountainside Fitness, LLC is seeking a Childcare Supervisor to oversee all childcare staff and ensure a safe, engaging environment for children at our facility. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and safety awareness as you coordinate shifts, monitor activities, and uphold company policies.

The Supervisor will support the Department Manager, handle member concerns, and help promote ongoing programs while maintaining daily records and cleanliness in the childcare area.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• CPR certified within 30 days of starting.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 lbs.
• Must move throughout the childcare facility freely and quickly for children's safety.
• Able to work under pressure and resolve problems quickly in the club’s and members’ best interest.
• Excellent communication skills with staff, members, and children.

Responsibilities

• Act as Supervisor over all childcare staff.
• Handle member and staff concerns in a polite, calm, consistent, and firm manner; relay to the Department Manager promptly.
• Schedule and monitor childcare staff breaks.
• Maintain adequate coverage to meet budget and ratio demands when the Department Manager is unavailable.
• Monitor activities of department staff and redirect inappropriate behavior.
• Provide feedback and instruction to current staff to minimize errors.
• Maintain childcare efficiency by delegating tasks and organizing supplies.
