Job summary

Mountainside Fitness is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Childcare Attendant to care for children while parents work out. You will greet families, learn each child’s name, and engage them with play and activities in a safe, welcoming environment.

An ideal candidate demonstrates dependability, strong communication, and the ability to handle busy moments with calmness and care. Training and CPR readiness are included in onboarding.

Qualifications

• Prior childcare experience required.
• Strong communication with children, parents, co-workers, and management.
• Ability to problem-solve quickly and stay calm under pressure.
• Responsible, dependable, and professional work habits.
• Natural warmth and enthusiasm for working with children.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet Members and their children on arrival and departure.
• Learn each child's name and note any special precautions or needs.
• Engage actively with children through play, reading, and activities.
• Provide thorough tours of the childcare room to prospective Members.
• Greet all Members consistently with a friendly, sincere smile.
• Ensure all parents check children in upon arrival and out upon departure; verify Member information against their card.
• Maintain safety and well-being of all children in the facility.
• Add or update Member information in the computer system as needed; manage inventory and supplies.
