Position: Lead Teacher- Anticipated. Qualifications include experience with children, a high school diploma or equivalent, good communication with the public, First-Aid/CPR certified, and a clear criminal records check. Reports to the Lakin Coordinator and supports a nurturing day care environment.

Qualifications

• Previous childcare experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Good communication with the public.
• First-Aid / CPR certified
• Provide an acceptable criminal records check.

Responsibilities

• Attends monthly staff meetings.
• Develops lesson plans for the full day for your assigned room.
• Have all materials and instructions prepared for the implementation of the planned lessons.
• Facilitates daily communication with co-workers and other staff in the room.
• Supervises and implements activities from lesson plans
• Enforcing safety rules, inside and on playground
• Intervening when children are likely to injure themselves or each other
• Maintaining daily childcare report on procare for parents to check throughout the day.
• Maintaining the room so it is kept neat and orderly, and centers are rotated regularly.
• Greets parents and children upon arrival into the room.
• Trains and models appropriate interaction with children for childcare associates.
