Job summary

A Chil'd's World in Langhorne, PA is seeking a PK Counts Lead Teacher to work with children in the Pre-K room. A BA/BS in Early Childhood Education or PK-4 is required, with instructional experience in ECE preferred and the ability to pass background checks.

Qualifications

• Instructional 1 or 2 in ECE or PK preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans developmentally appropriate one week in advance using current curriculum guides.
• Implement lesson plans weekly covering all areas of child development and follow classroom routine; maintain parent communications.
• Establish professional rapport with families to provide quality care.
• Responsible for safety and well-being of each child, maintaining a clean and safe classroom.
• Maintain child assessments and portfolios; conduct biannual parent/teacher conferences in November and May.
• Physical ability to work around small children; including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
• Carry out daily classroom responsibilities related to child care.

MainJob Responsibilities:

• Prepare lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate one week in advance using current curriculum guides.
• Implement lesson plans/curriculum on a weekly basis covering all areas of child development and carryout lesson plans according to classroom schedule/daily routine; Useour parent communication appefficiently.

• Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs; andmaintaining an organized, clean, safe, and appropriately decorated classroom.
• Maintaina child assessment and portfoliofor each child, as well as conduct biannual parent/teacher conferences during the month of November and May.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing,walking,running,and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
• Carry out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children.
