Job summary

Cornerstone Learning Center, a licensed childcare center in Somerville, TN, is seeking a Cook/Dietary Aide who is self-motivated and energetic and passionate about early childhood education. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, a Serve Safe certificate, and the ability to pass background checks.

Prior childcare experience is a plus. The role offers Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:00pm and $15 per hour, dependent on education and experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Serve Safe certificate required.
• Ability to pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare nutritious well-balanced meals that meet food program requirements.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen.
• Manage monthly inventory of non-food items and food items; disperse groceries and supplies accordingly.
• Request items within budget for additional equipment and submit to Center Director for approval.
• Assist in the classrooms as needed to relieve teachers for breaks.
• Lift and carry up to 40 lbs and fulfill all physical requirements.
