Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, are at least 18, and bring 1 year of cooking experience in child-focused settings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 18 years old.
• Meets all state preschool cook requirements.
• 1 year of experience in food planning, preparation, and service following USDA guidelines.
• Preferred: Current Food Handler’s Card or ServSafe certification.

Responsibilities

• Create nutritious, kid-approved meals and snacks.
• Keep kitchen organized and manage storage of food and supplies.
• Serve meals to classrooms and ensure children are fueled for learning.
• Maintain a clean, efficient kitchen and handle dishes.
• Assist with laundry and cleaning tasks to keep the school sparkling.
