Job summary

Top Kids Academy is seeking a Childcare Director to oversee the overall management and operations of our Orlando centers. You will coordinate day-to-day administrative tasks, ensure a safe, enriching environment, and work closely with staff and families.

Requirements include 18+ years old, DCF 45 Hours, FL Director Credentials with VPK endorsement, and CDA or higher in ECE, plus at least 1 year in a licensed childcare setting in an admin role.

Qualifications

• Completed and active DCF 45 Hours.
• FL Director Credentials with VPK endorsement.
• Active CDA, or a Bachelors Degree or Associates Degree in ECE.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operation of the childcare center.
• Oversee curriculum implementation and regulatory compliance.
• Supervise and guide childcare staff, fostering a positive work environment.
• Maintain accurate records (attendance, schedules, admin documents).
• Collaborate with parents, addressing concerns and building relationships.
• Ensure safety and health regulation compliance and inspections.
• Conduct staff meetings and professional development activities.
• Foster a positive, inclusive environment for children’s growth.

Who Are We Looking For?

As the Childcare Director, you will play a crucial role in spearheading the overall management and operation of our childcare centers. Working closely with the entire staff, you will be responsible for overseeing in the day-to-day administrative tasks and ensuring the provision of a safe and enriching environment for children under our care. This position requires excellent organizational skills, a passion for childcare, and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and the community.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead in effective operation and management of the childcare center.
• Oversee the implementation of the curriculum, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
• Supervise and provide guidance to childcare staff, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
• Maintain accurate records, including children’s attendance, staff schedules, and other administrative documents.
• Collaborate with parents, addressing any concerns or inquiries, and building strong relationships with families.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and health regulations, conducting regular inspections and implementing appropriate measures.
• Execute staff meetings, professional development activities, and other related events.
• Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes children's growth, learning, and development.

What You Bring to the Table:

• Age: Be a minimum of 18 years old.
• Certification & Education:
  • Completed and active DCF 45 Hours.
  • FL Director Credentials with VPK endorsement.
  • Active CDA, or a Bachelors Degree or Associates Degree in ECE.
• Experience: 1 year in a licensed childcare facility in an administrative role.
• Training Requirements:
  • Possess CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Pass a Background Check.
• Shift : A bility to work a rotating shift from 6:00am-6:00pm, Monday-Friday.
