Job summary

The Sunshine House is hiring a full-time Childcare Cook / Bus Driver in Woodstock, GA. The role combines cooking duties with school bus transportation for children, offering a competitive starting pay and opportunities for growth.

As part of our team, you’ll prepare meals, follow USDA and licensing guidelines, maintain a clean kitchen, and transport children safely in a 14-passenger bus. Benefits include tuition support and flexible growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Work experience in cooking and/or food preparation for large groups, preferably in a childcare center.
• At least 21-years-old.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Experience transporting children in a commercial vehicle preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years experience working in licensed childcare.
• Ability to pass background checks and health assessments.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and distributes meals/snacks for children and staff according to guidelines and provided menus.
• Follows daily menu that incorporates USDA, licensing and/or health department regulations.
• Ensures safe food preparations and proper sanitation methods are used and maintains a safe kitchen/pantry area.
• Maintains inventory of food and supplies.
• Must be willing to work in the classroom.
• Transport children to/from school in a 14-passenger minibus.
• Complete safety checks and drills.

Compensation & Pay Range:

$15 and up

Candidates withpreviousexperiencecookingor workingin early childhood education may qualify for higher pay within the range.Regular increases are considered withstellarperformance,and years of service.
