Job description

Summary

Small Wonders Childcare Center is seeking a qualified candidate to prepare and serve quality meals to the children in our care. We have multiple centers in southern Jefferson County with positions open.

Duties

Our cook position is part time approximately 30 hours per week. You will follow a 9 week rotating menu provided by the center preparing breakfast, lunch and snacks for our children and staff. You will also be responsible for inventory, placing and putting away all grocery orders, washing of all dishes, follow all MOCACFP guidelines and Health and Sanitation Guidelines.

Requirements

Must be able to pass a criminal fingerprint background screening.

Must have some knowledge of basic cooking.

Must be organized and able to follow instructions.

Must be able to lift 40 lbs.

Must be able to climb stairs with a 20lb buss tub.

Must be able to stand for long periods of time (4 hours +)

Must be able to bend, squat and stoop.

Current Serv Safe Managers Certificate (must be willing to obtain upon hire)
