Job summary

Child Development Schools in Wilson, NC is seeking a dedicated Bus Driver to provide safe, reliable transportation for our students to and from school and activities. You will support classrooms as needed, working with the Lead Teacher to create a warm, nurturing learning environment where children feel safe and curious.

You will interact with families, assist with attendance and daily reports, and help maintain a safe bus environment while meeting licensing and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Observe children and share developmental notes with the Lead Teacher.
• Build relationships with families through warm, consistent daily communication.
• Assist with classroom documentation including attendance and daily reports.
• Maintain a safe bus environment and adhere to licensing requirements.

Your role

As a Bus Driver at Child Development Schools, you will support our center by providing safe, reliable transportation for our students to and from school and/or activities. You may also be supporting classrooms, working alongside your Lead Teacher, you will support young learners through meaningful experiences that encourage curiosity, confidence, kindness, and growth. From hands-on activities and storytelling to everyday learning moments, you will help shape a warm and welcoming environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to explore the world around them.

You will serve as a trusted partner to families, a positive role model for children, and an important part of our collaborative teaching team dedicated to making early childhood education engaging, nurturing, safe, and fun.

What your day looks like:

• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom that meets licensing and ratio requirements
• Provide on time, safe and reliable transportation for our Before and After School programs
• Engage directly with children during activities, meals, transitions, and outdoor time
• Observe children and share developmental notes with the Lead Teacher

Pay and benefits

Pay: 14-16 per hour, based on experience and education.
