Job summary

Just for Kids - Needmore is a licensed childcare center seeking a Bus Driver. This role offers daytime hours, Monday through Friday, with a focus on safe transport of children and clear communication with families.

The ideal candidate will hold a High School Diploma or GED and an F-endorsed driver’s license, pass all background checks, and be 23 years of age or older. Previous childcare experience is a plus and compensation ranges with education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Transport children daily while following state health and safety regulations.
• Submit required paperwork to Center Director in a timely manner.
• Communicate with parents effectively in written and verbal form.
• Assist coordinating field trips and communicate logistics to staff and families.
• Mentor and train substitute Bus drivers to cover absences.
• Maintain the vehicle according to state regulations.
• Keep the bus clean, orderly, and safe.
• Demonstrate physical ability to work around children (sitting, standing, walking, running, stairs).
• Lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and meet all physical requirements.

Childcare Bus Driver

Just for Kids - Needmore is a licensed childcare center seeking a Bus Driver! This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, energetic candidate who is passionate about early childhood education.

To be QUALIFIED for this position, we require a high school diploma OR GED, an F endorsed driver's license and the ability to pass all background checks. Must be 23 years of age or older. A plus if you have previous childcare experience!

Required Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:15am - 4:15pm

Compensation: $14-16/hr, based on education and experience.

Our Hiring Process:

1. Resume screen
2. Phone screen with recruiter (30 minutes)
3. On-site interview with Center Director (30-45 minutes)
4. Offer

Main Job Responsibilities:

• Transport children daily while following state regulations and health regulations pertaining to duties.
• Follow proper protocol and submit required paperwork to Director in a timely manner.
• Communicate with parents effectively both written and verbally.
• Support coordinating field trips and communicate logistics, procedures and expectations to administration, teachers, and parents.
• Mentor and train substitute Bus drivers to cover absences.
• Maintain the vehicle according to state regulations.
• Maintain a clean, orderly and safe bus.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role
