Job summary

Active Wellness in McKinleyville, CA is seeking a Childcare Attendant to supervise and engage children while their caregivers use the facility. You will create a safe, fun environment and execute programs developed by the Child Care Lead.

Candidates should have at least six college units in child development, two years of experience with kids, and CPR/AED/First Aid certification. The role requires physical stamina and strong customer service, with opportunities to contribute across the center.

Qualifications

• Six units of college credit in basic child development.
• Two years of experience with children (infant to 12 years) in a group setting.
• AED/CPR/First Aid certification.
• Ability to stand for several hours; lift up to 25 pounds.
• Detail oriented with strong customer service focus.

Responsibilities

• Execute the programs developed by the Child Care Lead.
• Ensure safety and hygienic environment in the child care facility.
• Be responsive to parents to fulfill their child care service needs.
• Interact with children.
• Report any unsafe conditions to manager.
• Administer emergency care to members and guests in need of assistance.
• Work as a TEAM with all other departments.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
