Job summary

Overview

Locations: Recreation Center, 2301 Woodlands Boulevard, Castle Rock, CO 80104, USA; Miller Activity Complex, 1375 W. Plum Creek Parkway, Castle Rock, CO 80104, USA.

This position will remain open continuously until filled.

Responsibilities

• Plays, interacts with and supervises play activities of children. Ensures the safety of the children during play activities
• Checks children in and out of the facility to the proper guardian
• Determines applicability of grace period and appropriate charges for care. Collects payment
• Cleans the classroom and disinfects toys and other frequently handled objects
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Age Requirement: Applicants must be at least 18 years of age

Experience: Experience in childcare and customer service preferred

Licenses and/or Certifications Required: CPR and First Aid Certifications are required; or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire (which can be obtained at the Recreation Center)

Physical Demands

• Occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; and stop, kneel, crouch or crawl
• Frequent hand/eye coordination to operate personal computer and office equipment
• Vision for reading, recording and interpreting information
• Speech communication and hearing to maintain communication with employees and citizens
• Works primarily in a clean, comfortable environment

Equipment Used

• This position may require the incumbent to occasionally use personal equipment (e.g. vehicle, cell phone, tools, etc.) in the course of their employment.
