Child Development Schools in Opelika, AL is seeking an Assistant Teacher who helps create a classroom filled with discovery, creativity, learning, and joy. You will work alongside the Lead Teacher to support young learners through hands-on activities, stories, and everyday moments that nurture curiosity and confidence.

This full-time role involves working with families, observing children, and assisting with attendance and daily reports.

You will serve as a trusted partner to families, a positive role model for children, and an important part of our collaborative teaching team dedicated to making early childhood education engaging, nurturing, safe, and fun.

What Your Day Looks Like

• Support the Lead Teacher in delivering age-appropriate lessons and activities for the classroom
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom that meets licensing and ratio requirements
• Engage directly with children during activities, meals, transitions, and outdoor time
• Observe children and share developmental notes with the Lead Teacher
• Build relationships with families through warm, consistent daily communication
• Assist with classroom documentation including attendance and daily reports

Pay And Benefits

Pay: $12.50 per hour, based on experience and education.
