Job summary

Child Development Schools is hiring an Assistant Teacher to support the Lead Teacher and help create a nurturing classroom where children explore and grow. You will participate in hands-on activities, storytelling, and daily routines that promote curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning.

As part of a collaborative teaching team, you will engage with families, maintain documentation, and support a safe environment aligned with licensing standards.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Genuine care for children and their safety.
• Strong communication and family relationship skills.
• Physical ability to meet demands of working with young children.

Responsibilities

• Support the Lead Teacher in delivering age-appropriate lessons and activities.
• Keep a safe, clean, and organized classroom meeting licensing and ratio requirements.
• Engage directly with children during activities, meals, transitions, and outdoor time.
• Observe children and share developmental notes with the Lead Teacher.
• Build relationships with families through regular daily communication.
• Assist with classroom documentation including attendance and daily reports.
