Job summary

Discovery Kidzone in Bozeman invites a Classroom Specialist to join our caring, energetic team. You’ll support teachers across classrooms, help with transitions and daily routines, and engage children through storytelling, music, and hands-on activities.

No prior childcare experience is required; paid onboarding and ongoing coaching will help you grow, with Montana licensing support and opportunities to advance within the center.

Qualifications

• Must love working with children and diverse age groups.
• Strong communication with coworkers and families.
• Willing to learn and complete Montana licensing and training requirements.
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Support classrooms and age groups throughout the center.
• Assist with teacher breaks, transitions, and daily schedule coverage.
• Support routines including meals, naps, diapering, and toileting.
• Engage children through stories, music, movement, crafts, games, and hands-on activities.
• Encourage positive behavior, social skills, independence, and confidence.
• Assist teachers with classroom activities and learning experiences.
• Supervise children during indoor/outdoor play, meals, and transitions.
• Help maintain clean, organized, and safe classrooms.
• Collaborate with teachers and leadership to meet classroom needs.

What You'll Do

As a Classroom Specialist, you'll be an important part of our teaching team. You'll help classrooms run smoothly while creating positive, engaging experiences for children throughout the center.

Your day may include:

• Supporting classrooms and age groups throughout the center
• Assisting with teacher breaks, classroom transitions, and daily schedule coverage
• Supporting daily routines including meals, naps, diapering, and toileting
• Engaging children through storytelling, music, movement, crafts, games, and hands-on activities
• Encouraging positive behavior, social skills, independence, and confidence
• Assisting teachers with classroom activities and learning experiences
• Supervising children during indoor and outdoor play, meals, naps, and transitions
• Helping maintain clean, organized, and safe classroom environments
• Collaborating with teachers and center leadership to meet classroom needs
• Communicating professionally with coworkers and families when appropriate

What We're Looking For

You don't need previous childcare experience. We're looking for someone who is:

• At least 16 years old
• Passionate about working with children
• Comfortable working with different age groups
• Caring, patient, dependable, flexible, and organized
• Positive and able to adapt to changing classroom needs
• A strong communicator and team player
• Willing to learn and complete required Montana licensing and training requirements
• CPR and First Aid Certified (or willing to obtain within 30 days of hire)

Previous childcare experience is helpful, but not required. Paid training is provided!
