Job summary

The Learning Grove Academy in Avon, IN is seeking an Assistant Teacher/Bus Driver to join our family‑oriented team. This role combines classroom support with safe bus transportation for our young learners, with split shifts from 6:30 am–9:30 am and 1:30 pm–6:00 pm. QUALIFICATIONS: high school diploma or GED, at least six months of classroom experience, ability to pass all background checks.

CDA highly preferred. You must be 23 to drive the bus.

Qualifications

• Six months of classroom experience.
• Must be able to pass all background checks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans one week in advance using current curriculum guides.
• Implement lesson plans weekly across all areas of child development; use parent app for communication.
• Establish professional rapport with families to provide quality care.
• Ensure safety and well-being of each child; maintain an organized, clean classroom.
• Maintain child assessments/portfolios and conduct parent/teacher conferences biannually.
