Salem Montessori School (SMS) in Salem, VA is hiring a full-time Childcare Assistant to support infants and toddlers in a Montessori classroom. You will contribute to a warm, structured environment and help children develop physically, socially, emotionally, and cognitively.

Qualifications

• Experience with children preferred; ability to engage young learners.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive supervision for infants and toddlers in a Montessori setting.
• Support daily routines including feeding, naps, and activities.

• Follow policies on boundaries and discipline according to school guidelines.
• Collaborate with staff and communicate with families as needed.

SMS is currently hiring for a Full-time assistant to work with Infants/Toddlers!

Expectations:

• Monday-Friday
• 40 hours per week (8:30-5:30 w/ an hour lunch)
• Ability to be on your feet.
• Ability to lift and move.
• Ability to conduct chores apart from childcare (cleaning, etc.)
• Willingness to engage with young children and other staff members.
• Willingness to go outdoors in all weather.

Requirements:

• Ages 18 or older
• High School Diploma or GED
• CPR and First Aid Certified or willing to be certified.
• Experience with children (preferred)
