Job summary

Foundations Early Learning Center seeks an Assistant Director to help manage daily operations and ensure licensing compliance within a STEAM-focused preschool environment.

You will lead tours, maintain records, partner with families, support teachers with curriculum, and engage with licensing representatives and the community. Growth opportunities exist within our expanding network.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• EDU 119 or higher in early childhood education preferred.
• 3 years' experience as a lead teacher in licensed childcare.
• Coaching/mentoring experience in licensed childcare.
• Ability to pass background checks and health assessments.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Help manage daily operations and meet licensing requirements.
• Perform admin duties, give tours, maintain records, ensure policy compliance.
• Partner with families to provide the best care and education.
• Support teachers in implementing curriculum for developmentally appropriate classrooms.
• Nurture relationships with families, teachers, licensing reps, and community.

Hourly Pay Range:

$17-$19 per hour

Pay is determined by the level of education and years of experience. Pay increases with continued education, performance and years of service.

Assistant Director Responsibilities:

• Help manage the daily operations of childcare school, ensuring we meet state licensing requirements and company policies.
• Perform administrative duties, give impactful tours to families, maintain records, ensure state licensing/policy compliance, and help keep everything running smoothly.
• Partner with families to provide the best care and education for their children.
• Support teachers in implementing our curriculum, enabling developmentally appropriate classrooms that spark curiosity and growth.
• Nurture positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing representatives, and the community.
• Work in the classroom when needed to assist and support staff.

• Passion for working with young children.
• At least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required. (Homeschool diplomas must be through an accredited association)
• EDU 119 required or associate's degree or higher in early childhood education preferred.
• 3-year previous experience working as a lead teacher in licensed childcare setting required.
• Coaching / mentoring experience in a licensed childcare setting required.
• Ability to pass background checks & health assessments.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. for child safety and emergencies.
