Cornerstone Learning Center – Oakland in Oakland, TN, is seeking an Assistant Director to join our caring leadership team. If you’re a dedicated early childhood education professional with Lead Teacher background and a heart for helping children thrive, we’d love to meet you.

Location: Oakland, TN • Schedule: Mon–Fri • Compensation: $17–$19/hour, based on education and experience. Be ready to support the director, enroll families, and ensure licensing compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDA or Associate’s degree in ECE or related field.
• Experience in a licensed childcare facility as a Lead Teacher.
• Managerial or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of state licensing regulations and ECE best practices.

Responsibilities

• Support the Center Director in daily operations and center management.
• Assist in developing and implementing programs that support child growth and staff development.
• Conduct enrollment activities, including family tours and marketing efforts.
• Ensure state and company licensing compliance through regular checks.
• Guide teaching staff in curriculum development and classroom organization.
• Foster strong, professional relationships with families and staff.
• Physically able to engage with children, including lifting up to 40 lbs.

If you're a dedicated early childhood education professional with experience as a Lead Teacher and a heart for helping children thrive, we’d love to meet you.

• Location:Oakland, TN
• Schedule: Monday – Friday (varying shifts based on center needs)
• Compensation: $17 – $19 per hour (based on education and experience)

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Center Director in daily operations and center management
• Assist in developing and implementing programs that support child growth and staff development
• Conduct enrollment activities, including family tours and marketing efforts
• Ensure state and company licensing compliance through regular checks
• Guide teaching staff in curriculum development and classroom organization
• Foster strong, professional relationships with families and staff
• Physically able to engage with children, including lifting (up to 40 lbs), walking, sitting, running, and using stairs

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• CDA or Associate’s degreein Early Childhood Education or related field
• Previous experience working in alicensed childcare facilityas a Lead Teacher
• Managerial or supervisory experiencein a childcare setting strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of state licensing regulations and early childhood best practices
