Small Hands Big Dreams Learning Cen is seeking an Assistant Director for our Brunswick center in Bainbridge/Chagrin Falls, OH. This full-time role supports daily operations, family engagement, and staff coaching to deliver high-quality early childhood experiences.

You will assist with enrollment, licensing, and staffing, ensuring a smooth, compliant, and caring environment for children and families each day.

Qualifications

• Experience in an early childhood setting and leadership roles is required.
• Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with office software and record-keeping systems.
• Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily center operations alongside the Center Director.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
• Lead tours for prospective families and manage enrollment tasks.
• Maintain organized licensing and child files and required documentation.
• Support staffing schedules and classroom coverage.
• Coach and encourage teachers to maintain a positive team culture.
• Serve as the Director's designee when the Director is away.
• Ensure curriculum implementation and licensing compliance.

What You’ll Do

As our Assistant Director, you will:

• Support the daily operations of the center alongside the Center Director.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
• Welcome prospective families by providing engaging center tours.
• Assist with enrollment, record keeping, and maintaining organized licensing and child files.
• Review, complete and manage required documentation and files
• Answer phones and provide exceptional customer service to current and prospective families.
• Utilize multiple computer software systems for scheduling, communication, and record management.
• Assist with creating and adjusting daily staffing schedules to ensure proper classroom coverage.
• Support, coach, and encourage teachers while maintaining a positive team culture.
• Serve as the Director's designee and lead the center when the Center Director is away.
• Monitor curriculum implementation and help ensure high-quality learning experiences for children.
• Maintain compliance with licensing regulations and company policies.
• Step into classrooms when needed to support teachers and maintain continuity of care.
