Qualifications

What are we looking for?

GSE02 (Entry Level)

Be 18 years of age, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, be able to speak, read, and write English, follow instructions, and communicate effectively. Able to lift and carry children and objects up to 45 lbs independently and over 45 lbs with assistance. May require obtaining a government driver's license.

GSE03 (Intermediate Level)

In addition to GSE02 qualifications, candidates must have:

  • Six months experience in a USMC or military childcare/youth program or completion of DoD approved training.
  • OR six months experience plus nine college semester hours related to the age group.
GSE04 (Target Level)

In addition to GSE02, candidates must have:

  • 18 months experience in a USMC or military childcare/youth program, with completion of DoD training.
  • OR 18 months experience plus a recognized Youth Development Credential or an associate/bachelor's degree with relevant coursework.

All applicants must obtain and maintain required background checks, pass physicals, provide immunization evidence, and complete all DoD training and certifications, including CPR and First Aid.

Note: This position is a Test Designated Position (TDP). The incumbent is subject to random drug testing. A positive test or failure to test may result in removal from the position.
